The Performance Contracting National Resource Center (PCNRC), a collaborative effort between the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and the Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP), is offering a new training certificate series on the energy savings performance contract (ESPC) process.
The eight-part, accredited, on-demand, training series supports professional development and provides foundational training on the ESPC process, and the roles and responsibilities of involved parties, particularly those of the owner’s representative, throughout the ESPC project cycle. ESPCs are a proven, budget-neutral approach that enables customer organizations to pay for today’s building upgrades with tomorrow’s energy savings, and owner’s representatives play an important role in ensuring long-term ESPC project success. The training series is intended for a broad audience including energy analysts, engineers, facility and energy managers, and procurement and contracting professionals. The remaining modules will be released on a rolling basis throughout early 2023, but interested participants can get started with the first four modules now.
