Energy Trust of Oregon is helping commercial and industrial businesses who may be impacted by changes to Oregon state energy tax credits by providing bonus cash incentives for qualified lighting upgrades and custom capital energy-efficiency improvements. The bonus incentives are for eligible projects completed this year and served by Energy Trust’s Existing Buildings, Existing Multifamily or Production Efficiency programs.
"Energy Trust was able to use existing budgeted funds for these limited-time bonus incentive offerings. Our goal is to acquire as much cost-effective energy efficiency as we can, and to help businesses continue to invest during a time when they may be affected by state tax credit changes," said Peter West, director of energy programs. "Businesses can start saving right away and begin the year with lower operating costs."
The bonus incentives will be available for eligible projects served by Existing Buildings, Existing Multifamily and Production Efficiency.
To be eligible for these bonus incentives, a project must be enrolled with Energy Trust September 1 or later and be completed by December 15, 2011.
