The City of Seattle’s energy performance disclosure requirements are taking shape through an upcoming Director’s Rule at the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) which is scripted to oversee the city’s effort. Follow the NEEC blog post to see the rules when published. The City of Seattle energy performance disclosure regulation requires the owners/managers of non residential and multi-family buildings to benchmark their facilities (size thresholds apply) and to report their energy performance to prospective buyers, lenders, or lessees as well as annually to the City.
