The BEACON Fellowship Project launched in June 2025 with 10 fellows placed in seven counties across the state. Fellows began their fellowship with two months of intensive clean buildings training and started providing free technical assistance to building owners in August.
BEACON fellow services are now expanding statewide so building owners in any county can receive free Clean Buildings Performance Standard (CBPS) support remotely, including support for:
- General CBPS education
- The Clean Buildings portal
- Energy benchmarking
- Energy management plans
- Operations and maintenance programs
- Exemption and incentive applications

If you are a building owner located in Whatcom, Snohomish, King, Pierce, Lewis, Chelan, or Spokane County, fellows may be able to conduct in-person site visits to your building(s). For all other counties, fellows can provide support remotely.
Fellow availability is dependent on their number of clients and their fellowship is only 10 months, so if you are interested in receiving fellow services make sure to fill out a project interest form today.
