NEEC starts a new members-only webinar series during the month of May. These monthly webinars are free to NEEC members and designed to cover topics of interest to the energy efficiency industry. Each webinar will be one hour in length, conducted over the lunch hour, and accessible anywhere with an internet connection and phone line. A seven part series (May through December) is now set and members will be receiving a special announcement in their e-mail shortly. The first webinar in the series is Conservation Programs at BPA after October 2011, featuring Mike Weedall, Vice President for Energy Efficiency at BPA. As frequently reported in the NEEC News, BPA enters a new era with the beginning of the federal fiscal year on October 1st. Major changes to BPA’s power sales relationship with its retail utility customers begins then. Along with that, major changes are in place for conservation funding from BPA that affects nearly all the public utilities in the region. This webinar is Tuesday, May 17th from 12noon to 1:00pm. NEEC members must pre-register to participate and may do so by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Please indicate in the subject line, “May 17th webinar reservation”. We will respond with the URL, phone number, and pass codes for participation. The webinar is not open to non-NEEC members. Future webinar topics focus on topical ideas related to utility strategic planning, behavior-based energy efficiency, cost effectiveness methodologies, federal standards, and conversations with regional leaders in the field. Watch for the full webinar announcement by e-mail and listed on our Events page at buildingpotential.org/events.
