The Energy Trust of Oregon recently unveiled its strategic plans for residential and commercial/multi-family sectors. The Energy Trust provides energy efficiency programs and incentives for electricity customers of Pacific Power and Portland General Electric in Oregon and Northwest Natural and Cascade customers in Oregon and Washington. The Energy Trust’s documents for residential and commercial both emphasize similar themes – 1. The current economy presents a challenge for customers to invest in energy efficiency, 2. Oregon codes and federal standards are anticipated to diminish the opportunities for program efficiency results over the next few years, 3. Closer and more developed trade ally relationships will be critical to ET success, and 4. The ET must coordinate with other regional/state entities such as NEEA, BPA, and ODOE.  The Northwest Energy Efficiency Council transitioned to the name Building Potential in 2024. The organization’s legal name remains the same and the Board of Directors and Staff have not changed. |
