Margi Hoffman Joins Governor Kitzhaber’s Staff

March 29, 2012 By NEEC

Margi Hoffman, Oregon Director of Strategies 360 and NEEC’s governmental affairs lead in the state has been named the new energy policy adviser for Governor John Kitzhaber. Margi will assume her new job duties on April 2nd. NEEC has greatly benefited from Margi’s advice and counsel on issues before the Oregon Legislature. Her work there has been instrumental over the last two years in preserving the funding mechanism for the Energy Trust of Oregon, for maintaining the mechanics and some financial commitment to the BETC (now known as the Energy Incentive Program), for pouring the foundation of Cool Schools, and setting the table for future high priority policy initiatives. NEEC wishes her the best in her new job. The very capable Niki Terzieff of Strategies 360 will take over as NEEC’s governmental affairs representative in Oregon.
