The Energy Trust of Oregon Board of Directors is pleased to announce Michael Colgrove will be joining the nonprofit organization as its next Executive Director.
Michael is currently Director of the New York City office and Multifamily Programs for NYSERDA, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. He brings 20 years of experience designing, developing and implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.
Michael’s unique combination of strategic thinking, communication skills, in-depth industry knowledge and commitment to mission will help lead Energy Trust in delivering energy efficiency and renewable power solutions in Oregon and southwest Washington.
“My vision for Energy Trust is the same as my vision for the entire clean energy industry, which is to realize broad adoption of energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies throughout all sectors of the economy,” said Michael.
Michael comes to Energy Trust as interest grows in the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy, including cost savings, air quality improvement, carbon reduction, water savings and more. He will bring valuable experience as Energy Trust builds on that interest to expand participation, help the region meet its energy needs with low-cost energy efficiency and contribute to Oregon’s plans for a lower carbon future.
Michael joins the Energy Trust team on August 15, 2016, succeeding Margie Harris. Margie announced her retirement as Energy Trust’s first Executive Director earlier this year, which kicked off a rigorous five-month national search for her replacement.
