Roadmap to Cap & Invest Implementation

August 12, 2021 By Building Potential staff

Now that the Climate Commitment Act has passed, how will the state of Washington implement this historic climate change policy? Please join Clean & Prosperous Washington for a discussion with the Department of Ecology and Office of Governor Jay Inslee on the plan and process for creating the rules that will govern the state’s new cap on climate pollution. On Wednesday, September 8 from 2 to 3 p.m. PT, attendees will hear directly from regulators about the calendar of events, important public comment opportunities, and integrating the cap with other clean energy policies.

As we work to implement strategic and cost-effective interventions that reduce carbon emissions in Washington, the design of rules is critical to the success of the cap-and-invest program and the direction of billions of dollars into clean energy and natural resource solutions to climate change. We invite you to participate with us in continuing to shape this best-in-the-nation law.
