Opportunity to Request Congress Continue Funding Energy Efficiency Programs

March 8, 2021 By Building Potential staff

We want to inform you of an opportunity via our ally E4TheFuture, who asked us to spread the word about their letter below. Please take a couple of minutes to review and consider adding your signature.

The energy efficiency industry has been hit hard by COVID-19. Programs are more important now than ever before. Robust funding for efficiency programs is vital for energy savings, improved health, and to restore economic vitality to communities.

Energy efficiency offers lasting benefits for all Americans – including proven cost savings, improved comfort and health, and benefits for local economies. We hope you will make your voice heard. Please sign on to this important letter requesting support for U.S. energy efficiency, including critical programmatic funding for:

  • Home Performance with Energy Star
  • Weatherization Assistance Program
  • State Energy Program

The letter addresses Congressional chairs and ranking members who serve on the Appropriations Committee. Let them know this funding is essential for us to serve customers and to maintain good jobs in every part of the country. Urge congress to support energy efficiency funding to ensure that the industry continues to be strong and effective. Read the letter and sign here.

Thank you!
