NEEC Publishes 2009 Non Residential Energy Code Compliance Forms

September 24, 2010 By Brittany Quigley

While there is still uncertainty as to the official implementation date for the 2009 Washington State Energy Code (delayed from July 1st by the State Building Code Council at the request of the Governor), NEEC has completed and posted revised versions of the NREC compliance forms which many building jurisdictions require as part of plan submittal. The Excel spreadsheets forms are available for free download at buildingpotential.org/energy-codes. Note that both the 2006 and 2009 forms are available. The State Building Code Council is taking public comment on the issue of the implementation date for the WSEC and will make a final decision at its November meeting. Currently, it is anticipated that this date will be January 1, 2011, but that date is subject to change by the SBCC.
