NEEA Re-Designing Commercial Sector Program – BetterBricks

March 30, 2010 By Brittany Quigley

The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance has over the past few months been working to re-design its commercial sector intiative – marketed as BetterBricks. Over the past years, the BetterBricks program focus has been on changing energy related business practices through a target market sector and cross-cutting technology market focus. Notable products of this activity includes a series of Integrated Design Labs operated in cooperation with regional universities, programs catering to the commercial real estate market (e.g. the BOMA sponsored Kilowatt Crackdown competition), technical and business support for trade allies developing business lines for building operations optimization, and of course the BetterBricks web site resources. No specific word on how the commercial sector work will change through this re-design process, but changes are expected to be announced in the next few months.
