The Office of Economic Development (OED) envisions Seattle as a vibrant, innovative, diverse city with an inclusive economy where Seattleites can thrive and share in the new opportunities of the future. The City of Seattle expanded on its history of progressive climate action by enacting theĀ Green New Deal ResolutionĀ and theĀ Green New Deal Executive Order.Ā (Download PDF reader)Ā ThisĀ wasĀ aĀ bold leap towards a climate pollution-free city aims to create jobs and advance an equitable transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy by prioritizing investments in communities historically most harmed by economic, racial, and environmental injustices.

The Job:Ā We are seeking an innovative, systems thinker who is driven to deliver tangible environmental results while building a more equitable and sustainable future. As the Green Economy Advisor, you will be part of the Key Industries & Workforce Development Team and will be focused on the execution of a clean economy strategy.
