Lending Library Gets Sponsors, Expands to Oregon

January 30, 2017 By NEEC

One of the most valuable aspects of NEEC’s Smart Buildings Center project is the creation of a free diagnostic tool lending library. Stocked with nearly 1,000 diagnostic tools ranging from data loggers, to power meters, flow measuring devices, and much more, the library has been making tool loans to end use customers, service providers, and utilities for more than a year. Beginning 2017, The Tool Lending Library has received generous sponsorship from Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, and Snohomish County PUD which will help support the growth of the library. Moreover, sponsorship support from the Energy Trust of Oregon is allowing the tool library to expand to Oregon! It’s easy to become a borrower. Visit the TLL page and register to be a user. Loans are always free as is shipping to the borrower (we only ask for the borrower to pay for the return). Of course, you can visit the Tool Lending Library at the Pacific Tower Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 3pm.
