Power Council Proclaims 2011 as Best Ever for Energy Efficiency

September 26, 2012 By NEEC

The NW Power and Conservation Council staff presented the results of regional electric energy efficiency acquisition at the Council’s meeting in Astoria, OR on September 11th. The presentation provides a summary of the utility and system benefits charge administrator (aka – Energy Trust of Oregon) conservation savings for 2011. The presentation also contains a review of regional conservation savings and expenditures since they began keeping records back in 1978 and projections from utilities through 2014. The region posted 277 average megawatts (2,426 GWh) at an average levelized cost to utilities of just over $18/MWH (2006$). They will be posting individual utility survey results for 2011 on the Council’s website within the next few days. This Council presentation in PDF can be downloaded below.
