We can’t wait and hope you’re as excited as we are for this wonderful opportunity coming next month 9/29. Here’s a reminder about what you can expect from the Green Jobs, Green Futures Summit!
Get ready to mark your calendars for September 29th for our first annual Green Jobs, Green Futures Summit at the Fremont Foundry in Seattle! King County, in collaboration with the Port of Seattle, City of Seattle, Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, and Seattle Good Business Network, is bringing you an interactive, one-day event geared towards creating community connections and highlighting businesses in the local green economy contributing to a more sustainable future.
We are re-envisioning the traditional job fair model to embrace experiential learning by bringing together tangible real-world demonstrations of the work taking place in the sectors vital to a climate-informed future.
As part of this one-day event, the Green Industry Showcase, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm, will center on organizations from four sectors of the green economy: Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Professional Services/Technology. Attendees can engage with organizations and potential employers through creative, innovative, and immersive demo stations that spark curiosity and excitement.
From 6:00 – 8:00 pm, we’ll host the Green Jobs Talent Jam, a one-of-a-kind event to connect local job seekers to opportunities and employers with current hiring needs across diverse sectors of the regional green economy.
Join us for a day full of community connections and envisioning a greener future together!
