Prior to joining Recurve\, Carmen spent several years at the California Public Utilities Commission. While there\, she brought the findings and insights from evaluation to statewide energy policy through demand forecasting\, integrated resource planning and overall improvements in the deployment of energy efficiency. Her work continues in these areas but from an exciting new vantage point. Recurve connects the dots between efficiency\, electrification\, renewable energy\, and distributed energy resources to enable demand flexibility as a market-based procurable resource. Carmen has supported Recurve in the creation of transparent methods and open-source software to revolutionizes the way energy efficiency is measured\, deployed and procured. This free 6-hour training will provide a summary of information across all disciplines in this Code. Note that the new dedicated outside air system provision went into effect as a prescriptive requirement for specific building area types on July 1st\, 2017. \nTraining topics include:\n\nBuilding envelope provisions & compliance documentation\nAir barrier testing\nRefrigerated spaces & systems\nLighting system controls & lighting power allowances\nControlled receptacles 3 Fan and air distribution system efficiency\nDedicated outside air systems (DOAS)\nVariable air volume (VAV) systems\nEconomizer requirements & exceptions\nService water heating (SWH) & distribution systems\nCommissioning (Cx)\nAdditional efficiency package options\nRequirements for retrofits\n\nTwo Sessions:\nEnvelope & Lighting Session: 8:30 a.m. – Noon\nMechanical\, SWH & CX Session: 1:00–4:30 p.m. \nCONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS are provided. This training is eligible for a total of 6 contact hours (0.6 ICC) – 3 contact hours each for the morning and afternoon sessions.
