SUMMARY:Gas Efficiency: Gas-Fired Condensing Rooftop Units
DESCRIPTION:Join NEEA and ASHRAE’s Puget Sound chapter for an exclusive training on gas HVAC efficiency. \nThis training will explore the gas-fired condensing rooftop unit (C-RTU) technology and its performance on commercial facilities. Highlighting the energy efficiency benefits associated with C-RTUs\, while debunking current myths\, this training will present the gas efficiency of the technology and address its positive market potential. \nThe American Society of Heating\, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Puget Sound Chapter\, in collaboration with BetterBricks\, will be hosting an in-person training session that will: \n• Show how to properly install equipment and manage the condensate\, two of the most prominent yet least understood elements associated with the technology\n• Cover codes and their interpretations for C-RTU installations\n• Provide details on hot topics such as freeze protection\, neutralizers and curb adaptors\n• Prepare you to talk to customers about C-RTUs with suggested next steps \nThis technically-focused training will provide engineers\, consultants\, manufacturers\, distributors and installers with market insights into a rapidly emerging HVAC technology and tips on where and how C-RTUs should operate. \nThroughout this training\, attendees will have the opportunity to learn installation and operation best practices from market experts and realize the full potential of this high-efficiency technology. Lunch will also be provided!

SUMMARY:Lighting Controls Workshop 308
DESCRIPTION:Lighting controls offer opportunity to balance a visual environment\, enhance space flexibility\, and improve user satisfaction while saving significant amounts of energy\, and potentially improving maintenance cycles. Wide scale adoption of well-designed and implemented controls systems has been hampered by perceived complexities and concerns about call backs. In this two-day\, hands-on workshop\, you will learn industry best practices and strategies\, then apply them to an example project. \n

SUMMARY:ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Training
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to benchmark your building’s energy performance using the free online tool ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to support compliance with the City of Seattle’s annual benchmarking and reporting requirement. Participants will learn about the benchmarking process and local utility services available to auto-upload energy consumption data from Seattle City Light\, Puget Sound Energy and Enwave. Workshop participants will create an account in Portfolio Manager and begin the initial energy performance rating for their building with guidance from an experienced benchmarking instructor complimented by individual support from the help desk technical assistant. Participants are encouraged to bring data from their own building to the session. A data collection sheet will be emailed to you prior to the workshop. Sample building data will be available for participants who do not bring their own data.
